Community Advisory Council

Jill Hamagiwa

My name is Jill, and I am a lifelong California resident with a deep respect for compassion, service, and human connection. Through my career as a professional hair stylist, I have learned the importance of listening, empathy, and helping people feel seen and supported—especially during vulnerable moments.
I am a proud mother to an 18-year-old son and a caregiver to two dogs and two cats. Over the years, I have volunteered in my community, including service in Skid Row, Los Angeles, as well as involvement in my son’s elementary school. These experiences reinforced the power of presence, dignity, and kindness—values that are especially meaningful in supporting individuals and families affected by cancer.
I am honored to serve as an advisor and to contribute with humility, compassion, and care to those navigating the challenges of a cancer journey.
