Our Story

🏃♀️ 26.2 MILES. ONE PURPOSE. A CAUSE CLOSE TO MY HEART. ❤️
On December 6, 2026, I will run the California International Marathon, my 12th marathon.
After 11 marathons, I have learned that the miles that stay with me the most are not necessarily the fastest or the hardest. The most meaningful miles are the ones I run for a cause.
This marathon will be especially meaningful because I will be running for the Rocha-Cadman Foundation and its mission to support patients and families affected by cancer and blood disorders, raise awareness, and bring hope to those navigating some of life’s most difficult journeys.
I will be running in honor of my husband, Greg, and for everyone living with myelofibrosis and other blood cancers.
But I will also be running for the people whose stories are sometimes less visible, the caregivers.
I know that cancer affects far more than the person receiving the diagnosis. It changes the lives of spouses, partners, parents, children, siblings, friends, and everyone who stands beside a loved one through treatment, uncertainty, fear, and hope.
